About University of Nottingham Ningbo China

We offer one-year/two-year Master degrees for full-time students and a variety of research opportunities from master of research degrees to doctoral work across our three faculties: Business; Humanities and Social Sciences and Science and Engineering. The PhD is generally a three to four-year full-time programme, tailor-made to meet your specific research interests.

The University is in the Yinzhou district of Ningbo, Zhejiang province, on China’s prosperous east coast. Our 144 acre (584,666m²) secure campus features many attractive spaces, including Chinese and English gardens symbolising the partnership behind our success. We have our own version of The University of Nottingham's Trent Building, complete with clock tower.

We have on-campus sports facilities, as well as restaurants and cafeterias that sell Chinese and Western-style food, as well as halal cuisine. Most of our students live in halls of residence on campus, which are situated on a convenient high street that has a range of shops, restaurants, an ATM and spaces for recreation. It also has a 24-hour medical centre with English-speaking staff, a post office and dry cleaners.

We welcome students from all around the world. In addition to academic qualitifications, if your first language is not English or your entry qualification was not obtained in the English medium (from an approved institution) you are required to provide evidence of your proficiency in English.
