Aarhus University offers more than sixty complete programmes in English at Bachelor and Master's level. All PhD programmes are in English. AU teachers are active researchers and the teaching style includes innovative teaching methods and an informal learning environment that is designed to promote creativity as well as analytical and critical thinking. All programmes are deeply rooted in research and reviewed on an ongoing basis to meet the highest national and global quality standards.

The Faculty of Arts has three schools and twenty-four departments.
